To celebrate reaching the next milestone of my life, I wanted to treat myself to a blissful indulgence and Hotel X Toronto delivered on the promise. Needless to say that the celebration was a huge success and I received tons of compliments for pulling off a perfectly planned evening. I have been to my fair share of parties and I made some extra effort to ensure that this one went without a glitch. Hotel X: A Quick Review

Hotel X Toronto,  a 30 storey luxury hotel, was the perfect venue to celebrate my 35 years. I checked into a stunningly elegant suite featuring stylish décor and views to die for. This place is all about contemporary elegance, neat lines, clear designs, and innovative ideas. With the help of Hotel X Toronto, I was able to host a lavish and entertaining celebration.

The Magnificent Entrance

Truly, the entrance of the urban lakefront resort is nothing short of magnificent! The soaring 30-feet ceiling leaves one impressively awestruck while the huge living wall strikes all the right notes of green architecture!

A Charming Fusion of Hospitality & Entertainment

With unique entertainment options like splendidly furnished viewing rooms, a great viewpoint for enjoying breathtakingly beautiful sights of Lake Ontario and a rooftop swimming pool, Hotel X Toronto offers plenty to keep you entertained. Don’t forget to snap IG worthy sunset pictures at The Pond! High Park terrace is a great place to host smaller events offering marvellous views of the blue lake.

The Sports-Lovers’ Delight

Ten X Toronto is a whopping 90,000 square feet of a sports’ lover dreams! From tennis and squash courts to yoga and spinning studios, and a spa, this place offers a complete package for a fitness aficionado! The cherry on the top is an exclusive children’s centre for sports and fitness.

Foodies all the Way

Hotel X Toronto offers plenty of dining options to its guests including Petros 82 (opening soon) that will offer a high-end dining experience. The highlight of my stay was the Falcon Sky Bar which offers a great opportunity to enjoy the view as you sip on some delicious cocktails. A complementary continental breakfast is served every morning and the hotel also has a lobby bar to enjoy small bites.

Hotel X Toronto by the Liberty Hotel Collection offered a chic setting to celebrate a sophisticated, modern, birthday in polished style. Given my success with the celebration, I decided to let you in on some secrets that will help you throw a birthday bash that would leave your friends raving!

How to Throw an Unforgettable Birthday Party

1. Keep it Intimate

First things first, make a list of guests. You would want to keep it tight and intimate, a close-knit group of friends and colleagues with whom you can enjoy to the fullest!

2. Choose an Appealing and Stylish Setting

You need to go for a hotel suite that offers you enough space to host your guests and gives them a comfortable space to enjoy the party. My suite at Hotel X Toronto was a corner unit with a separate sitting area and unparalleled views. It was ideal for an intimate gathering. I loved that there was a separate powder room for guests.

3. Cake, and Some!

Birthdays are all about the cake. You can work with a talented local baker for a customized cake that works well with your theme. Shady Toronto Cake did a wonderful job of sending me a birthday treat that worked perfectly with my vision! I opted for a two tier geometric cake that tasted as good as it looked. The flavour they created for me was a coconut cake with mango filling – it was pretty epic!

Don’t ever forget about snacks. I would recommend working in collaboration with the hotel to explore catering options and to keep your guests happily fed! I worked with the in-room dining team at Hotel X Toronto for some delicious snacks. The service was impeccable. Candies from Sugarfina are also a great touch to add. They have wonderful flavours such as the gummy bears infused with Dom Perignon and Peach Bellini.

4. Drinks… Keep them Comin’

What’s a party without drinks? Keep the bubbly flowing. There is a huge difference between prosecco and champagne. When hosting a celebration, be sure to opt for Champagne. My personal preference is Moet. If you have the budget, their higher end counter part Dom Perignon is also an excellent choice.

J. LHOR wine from California’s acclaimed central coast is a great option for all the wine lovers out there! They have delightful red and white options. If it’s a summer celebration, why not make sangria for your guests?

Gold Bar Whiskey out of San Francisco is a wonderful spirit not only because of the luxurious packaging but because of it’s smooth flavour. Whiskey adds a grown up flair to any celebration.

4. Burst that Balloon

Balloons are the key to celebrating a birthday. No matter how old we get, there’s something about balloons that puts you in a festive mood! Balloon Bar Toronto offers a wide selection of balloons for every occasion. Stick to your theme when selecting balloons. The balloons from Balloon Bar Toronto really added a luxurious feel to my celebration. I opted for black, gold and white balloons. A few jumbo balloons filled with confetti will elevate any space.

Flowers

There’s nothing more uplifting than the sight of gorgeous flowers. BerryBlush‘s Rose Box is the most perfect birthday treat one can ask for! I was sent a beautiful box of white roses that aligned with my theme. The best part about the box is that BerryBlush can personalize it according to your needs. Flowers last well after your big day and remind you of how much fun you had! They also add a sophisticated touch to your celebration and serve as a great prop for photographs. The Basics

Before hitting that birthday party, don’t forget to groom yourself perfectly. After all, one must look dapper on their own birthday! The gift basket that Brill Communications sent over offered all the grooming essentials I needed including Conair beard grooming accessories, a Conair hair dryer, and a Carry Clean travel toothbrush as well as a manicure set.
