Staying at the Conrad New York is one the best decisions I made in regards to my NYC trip. I’m so happy that I was able to partner with this lovely five star property. Although my visit was sponsored, all opinions are my own. It doesn’t matter which entrance of the Conrad New York you walk through, you don’t feel like you’re in a hotel. I felt like I was in a gallery or a museum. Think gallery vibes mixed with a cozy warm feeling. The design of the hotel is striking and very different. The lobby is minimalistic yet very inviting and comfortable with high ceilings. When I say high ceilings, think 15 stories high with a gorgeous hanging art installation and a larger than life painting called Loopy Doopy. The Conrad New York is a essentially a luxury waterfront property with service that will make you feel valued and welcomed.
I must say that the Conrad New York is a luxury property through and through. The hotel feels intimate even though it houses 463 spacious suites. All of the suites at the Conrad New York are stylish and well-appointed with a lot of space. Each suite is huge in reg ards to NYC Standards. I loved having 450 square feet of space separated into living and sleeping areas. You will find that each suite is equipped with a wet bar and a Nespresso machine which both come in handy for entertaining. You’ll be delighted to hear that the Conrad New York also offers nightly turndown service, which is a wonderful touch. Another cool feature in the suite is the one-touch integrated room control technology that let you control pretty much everything. The views are incredible and I would recommend opting for a suite that faces the Hudson River.
From the moment you enter the Conrad New York, modern and contemporary art is an essential part of your stay. Over 2,000 works of art welcome guests throughout the hotel’s public spaces and 463 luxury guest suites. From bold, site-specic commissions such as Sol LeWitt’s extraordinary Loopy Doopy (Blue and Purple) in the Atrium and Pat Steir’s Topsy Turvy at the Gallery Ballroom, to the more intimate, specially commissioned lithographs in the guest suites by Mary Heilmann, Elizabeth Peyton and Sara Sosnowy, the Conrad New York exhibits a remarkably diverse collection by some of the world’s most prominent contemporary artists. The Conrad New York’s collection provides a stunning introduction to New York City’s cultural richness.
I loved staying in the heart of lower Manhattan’s Battery Park City. Did you know this is the same neighbourhood that Leonardo DiCaprio and a slew of other celebs reside in? The World Trade Center, Wall Street, and The Oculus are all walking district. The Conrad New York also arranged a lovely tour of the South Street Seaport for us. The South Street Seaport is undergoing a transformation and is a wonderful place to visit during the summer.

In Room dining at the Conrad New York is a truly special experience. During my first night I was treated to a lovely bottle of prosecco and assorted sweets. The breakfast menu is extensive and has something sweet or savoury for every palette. We opted for a mix of both and were not disappointed. I still dream of the waffles at the Conrad New York. They were topped with such a delicious crumble. I would suggest ordering those hands down! From the rooftop bar to the in house restaurant, the menus are inventive and carefully thought out. I will be posting a separate post regarding my experience at Atrio, Conrad New York’s in house restaurant. The Conrad New York is also where the prosecco pops originated and you can find line ups to their rooftop bar in the summer months.
From the common spaces and extensive artwork to the beautifully appointed two room suites, everything at the Conrad New York is exceptional. The service also stands out as all of the staff I interacted with were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. If you are in the mood for a complete luxury experience, the Conrad New York is the perfect hotel for you.
