I want to share with you two products that I was recently sent by The Tile App; Tile Slim and Tile Sport. Are you similar to me and find yourself constantly misplacing things? I’m notorious for misplacing my keys in my apartment. I also find that when I have to go away on a trip, I seem to not be able to find my passport. I know it sounds so silly but I always ‘hide’ things in such a good spot that even I can’t find them when I need them.
When the people at Tile sent me the Tile Sport and the Tile Slim, I was a bit skeptical. I have now tried both of them out for a while and do find them to be useful. I even took the Tile Slim along with me on my travels; I slipped it inside my passport so I will never have to spend time looking for my passport ever again. A neat feature of both tile products is that if you double tap the middle of the tile, you can make your phone ring just in case you misplaced your phone somewhere nearby. Both in the morning or when I’m off to an event, I find myself in a rush and sometimes I can’t find my phone or my keys. I haven’t had that problem since I’ve been using the tiles.
I think these two products are great as they are small and compact. The new style of the Tile Sport goes well with my key chain and I find that it’s ‘pretty’ enough to put on a bag or any other important item that you may not want to lose. I wasn’t sure how easy it would be to use the Tile app and configure the Tiles. I’m happy to report that the set up is user friendly and very easy. It takes only a few seconds. You simply download the Tile app on to your phone. The Tile app will then prompt you on what to do next. You basically have to pair the Tile with your phone by clicking the button in the centre of the tile. That’s all it really takes to complete the set up. You can then test it by searching for your Tile using the Tile app or by making your phone ring by pressing the button in the centre of the Tile.
Having the Tile app during your travels is also an excellent idea. The Tile Slim and Tile Sport are both items that I now consider a travel necessity. Imagine you are backpacking across Europe and you want to track some of your important items. Or you want a simple way to locate your keys in your luggage after a long trip abroad. This actually happened to me other day when I was returning from a trip. I used the Tile app in the taxi to locate my keys that I had inadvertently put in my suitcase while travelling. By the time I got home, I knew where the keys were to let me inside my home! I would recommend checking out the variety of Tile products on the Tile app website.
