Canopy by Hilton London City is a brand-new hotel in the heart of East London. This hotel has it all from comfortable rooms, a vibrant lobby, an on-site restaurant, and a fantastic location. The hotel is beautifully designed with an eclectic East London vibe.
Guests will notice that upon entering the hotel there is an extensive and comfortable lounge and bar. In addition, the staff are welcoming and helpful.
The Canopy by Hilton London City has a great library for guest to relax and unwind in, and it offers complimentary Canopy Bikes for guests to rent and ride around the city. Guests can enjoy free wi-fi throughout and a full fitness center.
Rooms
The rooms at the Canopy by Hilton London City are spacious, comfortable, and urban-style. Guests can choose rooms with twin beds, queen size beds, or king size beds. The hotel also offers premium rooms, which are located on higher floors that offer amazing views of the city. All rooms sleep up to two adults; however, the hotel does offer family connected rooms. There are also suites available with a living room and accessible rooms for wheelchairs.
All rooms are decorated in modern urban décor. Beds are clean, sleek, and comfortable, and each room comes with a small sitting area and desk.
Restaurant
Penny Squares is the on-site restaurant at Canopy by Hilton London City. I found the food to be delicious and well-plated. In addition, the cocktails were refreshing and inventive.
Penny Squares is a modern restaurant serving dishes that were inspired by London’s East End. Guests can enjoy starters such as different dips with pita bread or Halloumi and mint salad. They also serve small meat and seafood dishes like octopus, salmon, beef fillet, and samosas. Larger appetites will love their crusted rack of lamb or their vegetarian grilled aubergine. End the meal with one of their decadent desserts or after dinner drinks.
The hotel also has another restaurant opening soon. Florattica will be an exclusive rooftop bar that will serve cocktails and small bites.
Location
Canopy by Hilton London City is located in the wonderful East End. It is situated right between the bustling financial district and the vibrant and eclectic East End. The Aldgate tube station is just across the street, and is only one stop from the main connecting stop at Liverpool Street Station. Guests can be in the city center in no time at all. For those that don’t mind a little walking, the tower bridge is just a half mile away and St. Paul’s Cathedral is only a mile.

Canopy London City is geared towards millennials and those who appreciate thoughtful and creative design elements. Everywhere you look, there is something that catches your eye. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Canopy by Hilton London City and would recommend the hotel to anyone who wants a fun and classy place to stay and dine.
