Locally Inspired Design
This hotel is very unique in that it takes design cues from the local area. Canopy by Hilton Madrid Castellana is located in an up-and-coming neighborhood, so they wanted the hotel to reflect that. They used a lot of natural materials and earth tones to create a warm and inviting space. I love how they incorporated Spanish tile into the lobby and common areas and include the red theme of Madrid throughout the interior to embrace the “Madrileno” culture of the area.
The hotel was created as a location to be lived and enjoyed after the building’s interior was completely rebuilt. In the lobby, which has an atmosphere conducive to conversation, airy, open areas greet visitors. For millenials that love to take photos and be on social media, this is a dream come true because there are plenty of opportunities to get that perfect shot. From the beautiful lobby to the stunning terrace, Canopy by Hilton Madrid Castellana is an Instagrammer’s paradise.
An Exceptional Stay
During my stay, Canopy by Hilton Madrid Castellana surpassed all of my expectations. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with such warmth and hospitality. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and they made me feel right at home. My room was absolutely beautiful and very comfortable. I loved all of the little touches, like the Canopy bed and the complimentary coffee and tea.
Aside from the room, they also had a well-equipped fitness center, and a beautiful outdoor pool. The Canopy was also pet friendly and made me wish I had brought my dog with me to visit this amazing city!
Food and Beverage
Their signature breakfast buffet is perfect to wake up to. It has locally sourced fruit, baked pastries, and fresh-squeezed juices.
Escandalo is a gastronomic gathering area where you can sample some of their coffees or cuisine produced from healthy local ingredients. They also have a gorgeous terrace where you can enjoy a more laid back dining experience with food trucks parked outside.
The Location
The location was also perfect for exploring Madrid. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a centrally located, yet quiet and peaceful place to stay. You can find this property located within the financial district of the city, within walking distance from a few of the most popular tourist attractions in Madrid. I was able to visit the Paseo de la Castellana, Gran Via, and Plaza Cibeles within a few minutes from the hotel.
