My VERY FIRST FASHION EDITORIAL IN COLLABORATION WITH YSL BEAUTY & MY MASI’S CLOSET
My Masi’s Closet is a Canadian start-up fashion brand which has their pieces manufactured in India and finished in Canada. They cater to the Canadian market. My Masi’s Closet offers a wide selection of creative and cutting edge South Asian formal wear. The pieces are a fusion of western and South Asian designs. Just a few months ago, I had visited the YSL Beauty Pop-up at Square One. I had no idea I would end up collaborating with this epic beauty brand! YSL Beauty Canada hooked us up with their Vernis à Lèvres Glossy Stain line for the shoot. To make this collaboration happen, we made sure all the models were rocking the glossy stains from the YSL Beauty Line. This glossy stain is super lightweight in texture and I was told it almost melts on to the lips. The intensity of the colour is easily build-able and the wear time is remarkable. The applicator is fantastic as well; it’s flexible and slanted for easy and precise application every time. The YSL Beauty packaging is black, gold, and very luxe.
We brought on Exquisite Studios for Hair and Makeup as well as Blossom Pictures Inc. for photography. Kundan Kouture, a jewellery start-up, graciously supplied us with the accessories for the shoot. I had a lot of fun styling the shoot and working behind the scenes. It was a pretty cold and long day but the team was determined to generate some exciting content. I hope you enjoy all the shots.
