A Dreamy Urban Escape: Lighthouse by Brown Hotels Athens Review
Overview
The Lighthouse by Brown Hotels Athens is a modern four-star hotel in the heart of Athens, Greece. I was instantly drawn to the hotel for its baroque inspired detailed designs. Walking into the lobby and guestrooms, visitors gets a glamorous and sexy feel with the hotel’s gold accents and deep jewel tones.
Guests will start to feel like a million bucks the minute they set foot in the lobby of the Lighthouse. Upon arrival, guests are offered a welcome cava or detox water. The hotel also offers guests a continental breakfast that is extensive and delicious.
The amenities in the hotel are outstanding. Guests can enjoy the rooftop pool with amazing views of the city, a fully equipped fitness center, and a modern and sexy bar.
Rooms
All two hundred and twenty rooms are stylish, bold and cover nine floors. The mix-match between baroque elements and ultramodern design continue in each room. Guests can choose between an urban room with a balcony overlooking Omonia square, a classic room with a balcony, or a cozy room. Most rooms are double and sleep two people; however, there are a few triple rooms with three beds.
Restaurant and Club
The Lighthouse has not just one, but two in-house restaurants. The main restaurant serves Mediterranean inspired dishes with a modern twist, while the rooftop bar has sushi and other Japanese inspired dishes.
The Lighthouse’s motto is “Work Hard, Play Harder,” which means the night does not end but is just starting when the sun goes down at the Lighthouse. The hotel will also be featuring an in-house club that can hold up to two hundred people at a private event.
Location
The Lighthouse by Brown Hotel is centrally located. There are many restaurants, shops, and attractions nearby. In less than a mile walk, guests can be at the Parthenon, Acropolis, Temple of Hephaestus, and so much more. In addition, the Omonia metro station is conveniently in front of the hotel, which allows guests to get anywhere in the city in no time at all.
Conclusion
If you are in Athens and are looking for a funky, hip, and modern hotel, I absolutely recommend the Lighthouse by Brown Hotel Athens. The service is attentive from beginning to end and the rooms are comfortable and accommodating.
The hotel has everything you could possibly want from a rooftop pool, relaxing spa, contemporary dining options, and even a hip night club. Make sure to check at the Lighthouse if you are in Athens to work, play, or just relax.
